Join our intrepid tour guides Leslie and Lesley and discover the Eccentrics of Bath past and present. Part creative audio guide, part live interactive experience, Funny Peculiar is a show unlike any other. It will expose the colourful sides of Bath and encourage audiences to defy convention and embrace the inner eccentric…
Funny Peculiar is an immersive experience where the people of Bath have multiple opportunities to meet the Eccentric Detectives and contribute to the making of an alternative guided walking tour of their own city.
- You can catch Lesley and Leslie at their Pop-Up Eccentric HQ in Bath City centre at 36-37 Westgate Street, Bath, BA1 1EL from 11 – 15 May 11 – 6pm to share your stories, pictures and experiences
- You can join in a flash mob style Eccentricity Choir and perform in the show by downloading music here and attending free workshops led by local vocal legend Tessa McGinn: http://funny-peculiar.co.uk/sing-with-us
- You can be a member of the audience, as a select number of 25 people per time experience our eccentric findings first hand.

Following acclaimed run at Brighton Festival in 2014 Funny Peculiar has been granted an Arts Council Strategic Touring award to tour the UK in search of the most eccentric people and places. The tour covers Coventry, Harlow, Margate, Stoke and Bath.

Paschale is a director and performer, specialising in devised physical theatre and outdoor performance. She trained at Circomedia – circus school in Bristol and the MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College. Work includes: That’s The Way To Do It!, commissioned by Without Walls; The Séance, commissioned by Winchester Hat Fair; Drive In commissioned by Sitelines Festival and Hogarth Productions; and Speakers’ Corner for Brighton Fringe. She has worked with a wide range of companies including the New Vic Theatre, Stoke on Trent, Forkbeard Fantasy, Wildworks, Coney, Improbable and Gonzo Moose.
Michael Wagg studied at ArtsEd London & Hull University. Theatre includes work with Theatre Alibi, Teatro Vivo, Trestle Theatre Company, Dash Arts, Hijinx Theatre, Birmingham Stage, Sonia Friedman Productions, Changeling Theatre, TNT and Tour de Force. Film & TV includes Tournament of Shadows, Ibiza Undead, Whistler, Bedlam and Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Radio: The Eliza Stories, The Arts Show and Woman’s Hour. Also a writer, Michael has written for Teatro Vivo, Royal Court education, The Guardian and The Observer.
The Natural Theatre Company
The Natural are Bath’s most extraordinary outdoor theatre company, putting wild and brilliant work on the streets for over 40 years. This year they are working with the Funny Peculiar crew to weave into the show some emerging artists from Bath.
