Marking one month to go until the submission deadline for Open on 29 April, Artangel and BBC Radio 4 have commissioned five surprising audio interventions for broadcast each morning this week following the Today programme.Open is a £1 million call for artists working in all media, anywhere in the UK, to come forward with bold site-specific proposals that will transform the UK’s cultural landscape.

Starting today with Christian Marclay, each three minute Open Air commission will be broadcast at 9.02am, immediately after the Today programme on BBC Radio 4. At 11am on Easter Saturday there will also be a broadcast featuring all five pieces and interviews with the artists.
