Last weekend Head of Drama, Tristan Carter, from Bath’s performing arts school Curtain Up, decided it was time for a haircut and shaved all of his hair off to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tristan said “I teach so many children of all ages who have been affected by cancer. I wanted to show them that we can all do something to help families affected by cancer, honour the memory of some and help with research for the future through supporting Macmillan Cancer Care.”

Having raised over £800 for the cause and with money still coming in, the shave was a great success.

School principal, Sarah added “The children and their families enjoyed watching Tristan’s hair disappear under the razor, but I hope that the event will help our students and others know that people do care and one day we will beat cancer.”
