First Open Day – Fri 26 October 2012

The Bath Academy of Media MakeUp is flinging open its doors! At last, you can now visit our fantastic new premises and join us on our first Open Day!  Here you will have the opportunity to discuss with the industry experts our courses in detail, your career prospects and how to enter into the industry.

We have themed the event around Halloween and this will give you the ideal opportunity to view the creativity of our tutors and the versatility of our courses! There will be a dedicated course information suite where our experts will present you with details of our all our media make-up courses, including prices and dates, so you can find the right option for you. We will conduct a media make-up demonstration so you can have a taster on what we teach and what the current trends and techniques are.

Founder and Creative Director; Melanie Crump will be on hand to personally show you around our state-of-the-art new premises including Student Salon & Spa, training classrooms, student area and gorgeous garden.

Movie Make-up Artist, Angela Williams: Responsible for some of the gory special effects makeup in the horror movie; Splintered.

Theatre Make-Up Artist & Wig Maker, Paul Paintin: Who has worked on some of the West End’s top shows; such as Cats and Phantom of the Opera.

World Champion Hairdresser, Vincent Silvester: Who was described by American Vogue magazine as the ‘best tinter on the planet’.

Film Make-Up Artist, Gilly Popham: Who has Young Victoria, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bridget Jones, War Horse and many more films to her credit.

Body Artist & Theatre Make-Up Artist, Maria Leydon: Who has worked on many West End shows and BBC productions.

Hairdresser, Jayne Greenwood: Hair and make-up aficionado of catwalks and fashion shoots.

More names may well be added to this list so do please check back.  There will be more open days to come so if you can’t make this one, please stay tuned; more dates will be announced.



Please email .uk your request stating what type of course you are interested in and the time slot you would like to attend. Both presentations 1 and 2 are the same so there is no need to book them both.
