We were thrilled to hear the announcement yesterday that Tobacco Factory Theatre and Travelling Light’s original co-production of Cinderella: A Fairytale, has been shortlisted for the Olivier Award for Best Family Show, 2013, following its performances at the St James Theatre, London over Christmas.

The critically acclaimed Cinderella: A Fairytale was first performed for a sell out run in Bristol for Christmas 2011, receiving rave reviews and brilliant audience feedback. We were delighted to work with St James Theatre in 2012 to take the show to London, where it was fantastically received.

The winners will be announced at the gala ceremony at the Royal Opera House on 28 April 2013, hosted by Sheridan Smith and Hugh Bonneville. The popular Covent Garden Piazza celebration, first staged in 2012, returns for a second year, giving theatre-goers without a ticket to the ceremony the chance to and be part of the action. ITV will also broadcast a highlights show featuring the very best moments of the evening soon after the ceremony has come to a close at the Royal Opera House.

We await the news with anticipation and a great deal of excitement!
