Actor Gavin Robertson returns to Wiltshire with his new comic show Crusoe

Pound Arts has programmed Gavin Robertson, one man comedy show extraordinaire, to play at two venues in Wiltshire this spring as part of Trowbridge Arts and Rural Arts Touring.

Gavin who came to The Pound last year with his hilarious spoof on ‘Bond’ now brings a unique and darkly comic solo show creating an urban and cinematic world. A hit man, ‘a middle-aged white male’ and an Alzheimer’s sufferer share their stories and thoughts, amid the mishaps of being single – cunningly interwoven with the classic ‘Crusoe’ story and an exploration of ‘Big Bang Theory’!

A focussed blend of precise movement and bold images, supported by an original atmospheric soundtrack, and an undercurrent of dark hilarity.

‘It’s fantastic to be able to team up with other venues to host events’, said Charity Colborne, Marketing Coordinator at Pound Arts. ‘I hope Gavin’s wit and clever performance techniques will be as popular in Trowbridge and Grittleton as they are at The Pound’, she continued.

Gavin Robertson’s Crusoe will be at Trowbridge Town Hall on Friday 28 February, 7.30pm and at Grittleton Village Hall on Saturday 1 March, 8pm.
