B&NES Council Arts Development team are holding a consultation meeting about the B&NES Arts Development Strategy 2014-2017.

All current and potential stakeholders in arts and cultural activity in B&NES are invited to attend and contribute. This includes all currently funded organisations, independent organisations and any groups or organisations who may wish to apply for Council arts funding during the period 2014/17.

The date, venue and timing of the meeting are as follows:

Thursday 18 April 2013
The Elwin Room
Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution
16-18 Queen Square,

There are two sessions:
2.30 – 4.00pm OR 6.30 – 8.00pm

Please attend the session at the time that is most convenient for you.
Both sessions will follow the same format.

Refreshments will be provided.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss issues towards the development of the new strategy. The Arts Development Strategy is the framework within which the Council makes decisions about its financial support of arts activity in B&NES. Like all local authorities, B&NES Council anticipates that during 2014-2017 its financial situation will continue to be affected by the current economic downturn. The Council’s priority will be to ensure that funding supports activity that is of direct benefit to local residents and communities during the three-year period 2014-2017.

Topics for discussion will include:

Achievements and outcomes 2011-2014

Priorities for investment 2014-2017

Future methods of financial support – grants and/or commissioning

Measures of success 2014-2017

If you would like to attend the meeting, please contact Peter Salt, Arts Development Officer .uk and let him know which of the two sessions you will attend.
