Performing songs from his immense back catalogue as well as from his latest album at The Pound this month
Acclaimed singer and storyteller Patrick Duff takes his tour to Corsham later this month as part of his Land’s End Tour. With a large back catalogue of solo albums, Patrick will be drawing on his vast repertoire as well as performing songs from his new albumVisions of the Underworld.
Born in Bristol, Patrick Duff spent time as a street busker until he became the lead singer of alternative rock band Strangelove. The band released three critically acclaimed albums between 1991 and 1998 and toured with the likes of Radiohead.

As a solo artist, Patrick toured with WOMAD festival, collaborating most notably with Madosini, a then 81-year-old veteran African master storyteller and musician in the township of Langa, in Capetown, South Africa. Since then, Patrick has released four solo albums.
Patrick describes his music as being inspired by ‘a synthesis of some of the music that has shaped my life – stuff like Disney soundtracks, The Beatles, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and Jonny Cash’.
Visions of the Underworld, was recorded in and around a river stone cottage in the heart of west Dartmoor. This album comprises of Patrick singing and playing songs completely live with no editing. Produced by Rich Brown, this is one of Patrick’s most intimate albums to date. These haunting field recordings also feature the sounds of the environment on the moors as he plays.
