Bud and Doug have written a musical about Johann Gutenberg, the man who developed the printing press…Tonight they’re performing it to you, an audience including several very important Broadway producers!
With gusto, Bud and Doug perform every character for you with nothing but baseball caps for costume – and for set, they have a box and a pencil.
Spare Room Theatre are an excitable new Company based in Bath, aiming to produce some jolly good stuff. Focusing predominately on the world of Musical Theatre, Spare Room aims to stage contemporary works, putting our own stamp on everything we do. We’d like to take as many of our disgustingly talented friends along for the ride as we can and are always on the lookout for new folk to work with.
The company was founded by three ‘friends’, who took it upon themselves to ‘show off’ a bit around the South West. James trained as an actor at Birmingham School of Acting, before venturing into the frightening world of Drama teaching. Currently based in Bristol, James appreciates vintage furniture and good gin. Harry studied Music at Bath Spa University, and has since worked as a professional MD throughout the South West. Harry also regularly works as a TV extra, often in a wig or a Dalek, but never both. Andrew is a Drama teacher. He has worked with many local theatre companies. He is no stranger to performing himself. He hates being a producer….but we didn’t know what else to call him. The team have won some awards and had some really very nice feedback about the stuff they do…
