If you’ve ever fancied seeing “Theatre Producer” or “Angel” after your name, now’s your chance!

The Rondo Theatre and Bath playwright Gill Kirk are looking for good old-fashioned “theatre angels” to support their upcoming production of “Glitter Knickers”, a comedy-drama about (early) middle age, which you might have spotted on the front cover of the theatre’s brochure.

The show kicks off next month, ahead of a planned tour. The theatre’s now looking for any dramatically-minded investors who want to be part of the latest show from one of the region’s up and coming writers.

“There’s something special about being a theatre angel that you can’t get from crowd-funding,”

says the theatre’s Artistic Director and director of the show, Ian McGlynn.

“You still see them today in the West End, and we’d be over the moon if Bath philanthropists wanted to invest closer to home!”

“As a charity, we’re a philanthropic investment, but also a fun one, with the opportunity for programme and ‘producer’ credits, and we’re open to suggestions!”

Writer Gill Kirk said,

“We believe artists should be paid for their work, so we’re going to do all we can to make that happen. It’s a really fun show, and it’d be great to have some investors along for the ride.”

The show describes itself as a “merry tale of wild adventure and insane insight found only in the milli-silli-seconds between life and death, when you can do anything and be anyone.”
