Ground breaking concept in modern drama by Liverpool touring company Gerundagula Productions, Meet the Real Maggie Thatcher is about hits the stage again for a pre-election UK tour taking in 11 dates from Hull to London. The production will be at the Rondo Theatre Bath on Thursday 19th March coinciding with the 30th Anniversary of the end of the 1984/85 Miners’ Strike and provides an engaging insight into one of the most notorious political leaders of our era. As well as the Miner’s Strike Poll Tax, Clause 28 and the Falklands crisis are featured in the drama from unique personal perspectives. There will be an after show question and answer session with cast and writer on all dates.

The performance contains no strong language… only the truth. 

Award winning writer Mike Francis Carvalho is most recently renowned for 80′s themed drama Vienna and controversial Edinburgh Fringe production “Breathe in”. Meet the Real Maggie Thatcher is directed by the legendary ‘illy’ formerly of BBC, Granada and Mersey Television. The piece received a national UK theatre award nomination for best play when first performed in 2014.
