The Natural Theatre Company is set to thrill Jane Austen Festival goers again this year with a return of their hilarious Austen Undone! tours. Taking place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2016, these improvised theatrical walks explore the literary life and ‘lost’ creative ideas of Jane Austen…with a bit of a surprise and a lot of humour.

“Last year’s tours were so much fun that we couldn’t wait to work on another one.”

says Andy Burden, Director of the Naturals.

“We’re delighted to have been asked to return to the streets of Bath with another comical melange of Austen themed theatrical walks!”

In the lead up to the event, the team of highly-skilled performers will spend two days creating ideas and developing characters, before taking to the city for six 90-minute long promenades on each day.

‘Whether you’re an Austen fanatic or have never picked up one of her novels, it doesn’t matter’, continues Burden. ‘What we love about these tours is that they are for anyone and everyone. Just be prepared to laugh! Improvised comedy is what we’ve been doing for 40 years – and we love it.’

Last year saw an almighty sword fight (with parasols, naturally), a gaggle of – questionably – eligible young gentlemen, and a matriarch set on matchmaking everyone she met. No doubt the Naturals have something equally as exhilarating this time around – and we can’t wait.
