I wrote to you on 10 July to tell you that during 2014-17 the B&NES Arts Development team intends to move to a commissioning process in order to purchase specified arts activities. I am writing to you now to tell you the dates when these commissions will appear on the Supplying the South West portal.
Please note the following dates carefully.
· The first set of commissions for arts activities from the B&NES Arts Development team will be posted during the week beginning 2 September 2013. The deadline for submission of completed bids for these commissions will be 14 October 2013.
· A further set of commissions will be posted during the week beginning 14 October 2013.
The deadline for submission of completed bids for these commissions will be 30 November 2013.
Most of the above commissions will be for financial year 2014-15 and renewable for a further two years, subject to satisfactory delivery of the required outcomes.
If you have not already done so I encourage you to register with the Supplying the South West portal (registration is free) in order to be able to access full details of these commissions for arts activities.
If you encounter any problems registering for the site please use the online help service provided. Do not contact Council Connect or the Arts Development team as this is an independent site that the Council does not manage.
During mid-September, the Arts Development Team will be providing two training sessions for voluntary sector arts organisations on responding effectively to commissioning opportunities. More details of these sessions will be announced shortly.
In addition to the forthcoming commissioning opportunities the Arts Development team intend to run two grant schemes:
· A £500 micro-grant scheme
· A grants scheme for sums of up to £3,000
The details of both schemes will be published on the Council’s Arts Funding page during autumn 2013.
