This is a bespoke production with music to celebrate the centenary of Peasedown St. John Primary school, Bath. The show will involve over 70 children and the pupils are currently in rehearsals for the show which will be performed 27 /28th June The Prospect Theatre, Radstock.

All pupils have been accessing historic workshops to enjoy drama and a little bit of history facilitated by Magic Penny Productions Director, Petra Schofield.

The Magic Penny has been written and researched by Petra Schofield with original music composed by Myra Barretto, music leader at the school. Petra has spent time interviewing elderly past pupils and working with the Radstock Museum to ensure the story is accurate and reflects the changing face of Peasedown over the past decades.

An installation as part of Fringe Arts Bath attracted over 600 people and there has been lots of interest from local museums who would like the show to be performed there.
