Folded Feather theatre company visits Bath to present two performances of NICE, an inventive multi-media theatre production for audiences aged 4 years and over, appearing at the egg theatre on Saturday 13th April. Using floor-based rod and string puppetry, object theatre, shadow puppetry, music, sound and live animation, Nice tells a story of hope and friendship which explores the endless possibilities of the imagination.
There are two things in Lucy’s life which she prizes more than any other. One is her faithful companion and sidekick Sancho, a threadbare glove puppet who is always by her side. The other is an old toy theatre; little more than a half broken box with a few faded cardboard characters and a miniature moth-eaten curtain. For Lucy though, it is more than this. It is a chance for her to escape to a world where anything is possible, far from the one she knows.
Folded Feather is an award-winning theatre company which collaborates with many of the world’s leading puppeteers and artists as well as theatre, film and television companies including the National Theatre, Little Angel Theatre, The Roundhouse, ITV and Nickelodeon.
The Folded Feather core team comprises of Oliver Smart and Matt Short who have a collective experience in professional puppet theatre of 25 years.
