Would you like to be part of a brand new Musical?
Music is Life Productions are about to start casting for Busk written by Daniel Lashbrook to be directed by Petra Schofield. The show is booked to run Spring 2018 at The Rondo, Bath and also at The Samuel Pepys Theatre, London.
Busk is a brand new piece of theatre, set in London following the fortunes of a young girl who wishes to sing. Along the way she falls into a world of disrepute whilst her brother succeeds in his business ventures. When life gets out of hand with a rogue record producer and the shady side of life things hit rock bottom – the local recording studio goes up for sale and dreams crash. Not a fairy tale ending either…… But if I told you everything that’d be daft.
The music crosses many styles – if you are aware of the work of Music is Life and their previous productions of “Rogues” and “Pencoweth” this show bears no similarities at all. The rock style, edgy score demands great vocals and acting ability. Cast age range is 16 + it is a small company and demands a huge range of personalities. The rehearsal period will also include producing a cast recording.
This is an unpaid opportunity.
The show dates are set as:
Rondo Theatre, Bath (Get in 20th May – run for the week)
Samuel Pepys Theatre, St Pauls School, London (Get in 10th June – run for the week)
It is essential that you are free for both dates. Rehearsals will most likely be Monday and Wednesday in Bath with extra by arrangement nearing the production date.
The opportunity to find out more and listen to the music is booked for
6pm Sunday 24th September 2017.
