Red Room Production’s present their first showing of their 2016 production, a full-throttle UK world premiere from multi-award winning company and Director Mary Steadman.

Inspired by real and fictional women, the hallucinatory room of The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Gilman-Perkins, and the evocative imagery of photographer Francesca Woodman. Borderland is the outcome of an ACE funded Research and Development project about women and mental health.

An intense psychological and physical performance, alive with unique theatricality, where original live music and evocative visual language interweave to convey a poetic and surreal world, in which five women’s stories of mental breakdown converge.
