Copenhagen 1516 is the setting for this solid production of a tale of eviction threats and the righteous clergy. A domestic sub plot is set against the background of civil war and the increasing hysteria that hunger brings.
Russell Eccleston and Tiffany Rhodes have an obvious chemistry as the couple who are blissfully and happy in the first throws of a relationship, but then along comes the dark storm cloud in the shape of a sinister cleric played by Aidan Jones.
A dense first script from Mark McKenzie that has potential and was sensitively directed by Eliott Needham.
