This little dance/movement piece from Onset Productions is set to the rhythms of the ocean, and, though the piece itself is not actually still, it evokes stillness and calm in its soothing blue-and-white setting. Visual effects are imaginative, with projections of wave patterns on the white veils sometimes worn and sometimes waved gently by the performers. Aurally too, the music and (live) sounds of water, coupled with occasional brief spoken words, heighten the atmosphere and feel of the sea, its power, its beauty and its ability to influence mood. The dance moves themselves are pretty enough, but might have been more effective if they were more tightly co-ordinated so that the performers were in closer unison; but this is nonetheless a visually pleasing and evocative piece.
