The Great British Soap Opera, a new musical by Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary, produced by Mark Sellick, directed by Scott Rogers, presented by Not Another Theatre Company at The Mission Theatre, Wednesday 20th September to Saturday 23rd at 7.30pm.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes and on the set of a TV soap? Well here’s your chance. Probably.
Victoria Square is a soap on the slide. In order to boost ratings, curvaceous ingenue Sophie is introduced, grabbing the headlines and upsetting the established status quo of the cast.

With plenty of songs (well choreographed No-ones Job is Safe Nowadays being perhaps the best) and witty one-liners the pace never lets up.

Good lighting and set plus the house band make for a polished performance, and the faultless cast of Rachel Bosomsworth, Jane Morgan, Pip Knowles, Tom Corbishley, Matthew Graham and Jessica Sellick never miss a beat.

Large screen TV adds to the authenticity as do the out takes and bloopers at the end.
If you’re looking for some fun as autumn stares us in the face, then this hits the spot.
