Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have been dazzling television audiences for seven series of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing with their stunning tango performances. Former World Champions, Vincent and Flavia’s mesmerising choreography and fiery chemistry command the floor with dynamic tango routines, gravity-defying moves and featherlight footwork. Now they visit Bath in the Olivier Award-nominated Midnight Tango’s final nationwide tour direct from a sell-out run at the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End.
Midnight Tango is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires. Vincent and Flavia are joined on stage by some of the finest tango dancers in the world, and, between them, they take the audience on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city, as danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion combine into a spectacular and explosive evening. As well as starring in the performance, Vincent and Flavia have also choreographed the show which brings to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of the tango. Playing live on stage is the internationally renowned tango band, Tango Siempre featuring vocalist Miguel Angel.
Midnight Tango is directed by Olivier Award-winning choreographer Karen Bruce, who has choreographed for both Strictly Come Dancing and So You Think You Can Dance on BBC1, and whose theatre credits include Pacific Overtures at the Donmar Warehouse and Footloose in the West End and on UK Tour. Choreography is by Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace, and the show is produced by the acclaimed choreographer and So You Think You Can Dance judge, Arlene Phillips.
Since Midnight Tango first began in April 2011, it has sold nearly 500,000 tickets throughout the UK and Ireland, meaning almost half a million people to date have been seduced by Vincent and Flavia’s breathtaking show which brings to life this most exciting dance form.
