Proud winners of the 2013 Chortle Comedy Award for ‘Best Venue in Wales and The West’, Komedia Bath has announced its summer line-ups for the weekly Krater Comedy Club show.

Featuring a diverse mixture of stand-up comedians from around the globe, Krater Comedy Club features TV regulars Ninia Benjamin and Paul Sinha alongside the finest upcoming comics such as Rob Deering, Javier Jarquin, Josh Howie and Mike Newall, some of whom will be showing new work at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014.

Featured Comics:

Ninia Benjamin (Sat 9th August)

Ninia Benjamin is one of the UK’s hottest female comedians with a wealth of television, stage and live stand-up experience. Ninia was catapulted to stardom as one this of BBC3’s ‘3 Non-Blondes’, which later transferred to BBC2 before going to a second series.

Paul Sinha (Sat 30th August)

Unquestionably a talented and pioneering Asian comic, Paul Sinha has performed at the best comedy venues and festivals all over the UK and Europe. Paul’s TV credits include being a ’Chaser’ on ITV1’s The Chase, plus The Stand-Up Show , The Comedy Store and being voted fourth off on The Weakest Link!

Rob Deering (Sat 26th July)

With his easy charm, razor-sharp wit and clownish physicality Rob has quickly established himself as a firm favourite on the London circuit and has played at all the major comedy clubs nationwide. He slayed audiences as a headliner on The Comedy Network and has been commissioned by Channel 4. Rob performs his new show Musicface at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014.

Javier Jarquin (Sat 5th July)

Javier Jarquin started his comedy career in New Zealand, winning the 2007 `So You Think You`re Funny’ on the way. Since moving to the UK in 2010 he has established himself as a circuit regular and headline act, and has performed on the same bill with top names such as Jimmy Carr, Stewart Lee and Jo Brand! Javier performs his new show Joke Ninja at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014.

Josh Howie (Sat 12th July)

Josh Howie was raised as a Buddhist, before living with Native Americans and finally settling down as a trainee Rabbi.  At least that was the plan until he was kicked off the program for getting caught with a naked (non-Jewish) girl.  Perhaps it was inevitable that he would go on to become a stand-up comic! Josh performs his new show Aids: A Survivor’s Story at the Edinburgh Fringe this year.

Mike Newall (Sat 16th August)

A gentle, amiable power-house of a comic, Mike’s timing is the envy of performers with ten times the experience and is living proof that you can’t learn to be funny, some people just are. A talent who audiences, colleagues and industry-types alike are really sitting up and taking notice of. Mike performs his new show Mike Newall is Here All Week (Almost) at the Edinburgh Fringe this year.
