The Theatre Royal Bath’s Fundraisers have organised a 15-strong team of Theatre Royal employees and supporters to run in the 2014 Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd March. ‘Team TRB’ is running to raise funds for an exciting new project between Three Ways School and the egg theatre.

Bath’s Three Ways School provides support and encouragement to over 165 children with a wide variety of Special Educational Needs. The egg, the Theatre Royal Bath’s award-winning children’s theatre, is embarking on a new project with Three Ways School, with the aim of creating a sustainable model of how to embed creativity and drama into the school and its teaching practices. This summer, the partnership will kick off with a performance project at the egg built around the topic of William Shakespeare, which will include watching a play at the egg, in-school drama sessions with an egg practitioner, and a performance by young people from Three Ways School on the egg theatre’s stage.

Taking part in the Bath Half to raise funds for this project, Team TRB’s runners have been busy training come rain or shine. For many, it will be the first time that they have run in the event.

If you would like to make a donation to this excellent cause, you can sponsor Team TRB online via Team TRB’s Virgin Money Giving page:

A special award from the Real Ideas Organisation means that every £1 donated in sponsorship to Team TRB will be doubled.

Do look out for the ‘Team TRB’ t-shirts during the Bath Half, and give them a cheer.
