Direct from London’s West End, where it is now in its record-breaking ninth year, Thriller Live, the spectacular concert created to celebrate the career of the world’s greatest entertainer and undisputed King of Pop – Michael Jackson, and the Jackson 5 tours to the Theatre Royal Bath from Monday 27th November to Saturday 2nd December.

Thriller Live takes audiences on an electrifying visual and audio journey through the magic of Michael Jackson’s forty-five year musical history. This spectacular show has been seen by over four million people in thirty-two countries and played over 5,100 performances worldwide including, in 2016, the People’s Republic of China.

Thriller Live first opened in the West End at the Lyric Theatre in January 2009 and is currently the 15th Longest Running Musical in West End history. Having recently sold its two millionth West End ticket, Thriller Live also holds the record at London’s Lyric Theatre as the longest running show since the theatre started entertaining the capital in December 1888.

Bath theatregoers can look forward to over two hours of nonstop hits from pop to rock, soul to disco as the cast pays homage to Jackson’s legendary live performances and innovative dance moves executed with flair, precision and passion in a truly memorable show. Just some of the many favourite Jackson hits featured include: I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, Bad, Rock With You, They Don’t Care About Us, Dangerous, Thriller and many more!

Michael Jackson first sang Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough in 1979 in the first song to showcase his talent as a solo artist, winning him his first solo Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. The song has been in Thriller Live ever since the West End concert spectacular was first created and could be the show’s anthem as it prepares to tour Germany at the start of 2018 and continues to thrill audiences in London and across the UK this autumn.

In a phenomenal, unparalleled career spanning 40 years, Michael Jackson sold more than 750 million records, had 13 number one singles – more than any other male artist – and is one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; once as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1997 and later as a solo artist in 2001. He also achieved multiple Guinness World Records, including one for Thriller, still the world’s best-selling album of all time.

The cast of the 2017 UK tour is led by American star and lead vocalist Britt Quentin, who has performed in over 2,300 performances of Thriller Live in the West End over a 6 year period. Britt was Resident Director of the West End production and he is also Resident Director on the tour. A dynamic vocalist, producer, director, and prolific songwriter, Britt was previously Musical Director for the internationally-acclaimed, Los Angeles-based, jazz-funk-pop vocal group, M-pact; producing and recording five CDs and touring four continents from 1997 – 2009. He has produced albums and vocal arrangements for other award-winning vocal ensembles across the globe, and shared the stage with music superstars including Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Lionel Richie, John Meyer, Natalie Cole and Herbie Hancock.

Thriller – Live was originally conceived by Executive Director, Adrian Grant, an associate of Michael Jackson for more than 20 years, and author of Michael Jackson – The Visual Documentary.

The show blends eye-popping video footage and effects together with dazzling choreography by award-winning director and choreographer Gary Lloyd. During his career, Lloyd has worked on television, stage shows and arena tours with artists including Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis, Girls Aloud and Shirley Bassey.

Producers Paul Walden and Derek Nicol said: “Thriller Live continues to go from strength to strength. Michael Jackson’s music has never been more popular, and just like Wicked and other successful shows, Thriller Live has many loyal fans who come back time after time for repeat visits. We aim to keep the show fresh and exciting for them for many years to come through subtle changes, additional special effects and new video content.”
