Tickets for Shakespeare Live’s 2013 production go on sale on Tuesday April 23rd. The show will run at Lackham House, near Lacock, from Monday June 24th till Saturday June 29th, including a Saturday matinee.

This year the play will be the ever-popular farcical comedy, ‘The Comedy of Errors’, featuring two pairs of long-separated twins who meet, unknowingly, in the vibrant marketplace of 19th century Ephesus, with inevitable chaotic , very funny, and ultimately satisfying results.

This is the 25th year for Shakespeare Live, and their third at Lackham House, where, once again, the play will be outdoors in the beautiful gardens with the audience comfortably seated in a large covered stand.

There will be ample room for picnics before the show with various catered options also available and use of Lackham House itself a definite bonus on chilly evenings. The Saturday Gala Night will involve extra entertainment before the show and during the interval.

Shakespeare Live have deservedly won a loyal following for their clear, entertaining and ambitious stagings of the plays. This year’s show, under the leadership of experienced director Christine Partington, promises to be equally successful.

Tickets will cost £14 (£1 reduction for under 18s and NUS students) for Monday evening – Saturday matinee, and £20 / £19 for the Gala Night, all for numbered seats in the stand. There are also a limited number of groundling spaces in front of the stand, also pre-bookable, for only £5 (£10 Gala Night).
