Bath Unity Players came into being in 1944, and have been entertaining people ever since, with plays, revues and their unsurpassed pantomimes!

From humble beginnings in Church Halls, they now perform their annual pantomime at the Theatre in the lovely setting of Kingswood School, on Lansdown. Over the years they have given their audiences traditional and unusual pantomimes.

Theatre hire, licence fees and performance fees have all escalated over the years, forcing many Groups to increase their ticket prices. Rather than pass these additional costs onto their loyal audiences, Unity’s Chairman and Director,  Katrina Cowie – herself a member of Unity since childhood – decided to write her own scripts, so that the pantomime could be created to suit the Group, with the added bonus of saving on licence and performance fees. As a result, ticket prices have remained the same for at least 6 years.

The first “in house” pantomime,  The Sleeping Beauty, was very well received, and was nominated by NODA for ‘Best Pantomime’. This year Katrina has written Cinderella, a traditional story with a few twists. Lots of humour, well-loved songs, and delightful dancing by the Deborah Curtis Dancers, this pantomime is a must for all families this Christmas.

The show starts on Dec 20th, with a performance  at 7.30pm, also on the 21st.

The performances on Friday 22nd will be at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and  performances on Saturday the 23rd. will be at 1.00pm and 5.00pm
