Two very different productions for young audiences are on offer in the egg theatre this half term.
On Monday and Tuesday next week, Spanish puppet theatre company El Patio Teatro present the beautiful By Hand, in which we meet a very special hero, a small person with a great desire to escape from the pottery shop window, and those who live there too! Told with beautifully-modelled clay characters and remarkable artistry, By Hand is a touching and life-affirming story about love, small failures and a potter’s wheel.

BY HAND is at the egg theatre on Monday 26th & Tuesday 27th October. Performance times are Monday 11.30am & 3pm, and Tuesday at 10am, 12noon and 3pm.
The second half of the week sees the egg theatre transformed into a giant picnic for Theatre Damfino’s The Table of Delights! Sitting around a giant table, centre stage, the children will taste, explore and discover the origins of food through spectacle, stories and original music, as award-winning chefs prepare delicious morsels in the spotlight. Pirouetting beetroots, singing honey bees, flying eggs and quests to far-off lands are all on the menu for this feast of foody tales from field to plate.
