unnamedTzedakah Theatre are a new Bath-based theatre company founded by final year Drama students, Krissy Penton and Mykel Elledge. They aim to tackle issues of social injustice through theatre, raising awareness of local and global issues to inspire audiences to make a difference. This project, From the Ashes, aims to raise awareness of human trafficking in the UK and shed hope on this issue.
To do this, they have been running several drama workshops in various community settings such as colleges, universities, and theatre groups. They have also made a 60 second awareness video, both of which have inspired a 10 minute street performance fusing physical and verbatim theatre.
This will be performed three times between 6 and 7pm on 16th May in Kingston Parade, Bath (to the right of Bath Abbey)
