‘The Inbetweeners’ actress Lizzie Stables, who grew up in Bath and attended the Royal High School will return to the area this May with a touring production of a new play called ‘Unearthed.’ The play is being produced by Lizzie’s own company, Folio Theatre, in association with The Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton.
Lizzie, who plays popular character Chloe in ‘The Inbetweeners’ and has also appeared in ‘Miranda,’ ‘Holby City’ and ‘Doctors’ began her acting training at the Theatre Royal Bath’s Youth Theatre, where performed in several productions at the Ustinov. She landed her first professional acting job, as the voice of Sally Van in Aardman Animations ‘Planet Sketch’ at seventeen after being spotted in a school play at the Royal High. At eighteen she was offered a place at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London where she trained to be an actor.
Lizzie teamed up with playwright Alys Metalf, who hails from Somerset after they worked together on a project for Film 4. ‘Unearthed’ is the story of estranged twins Ben and Eliza who are forced back together on a quest to honour the unusual wishes in their late father’s will. They find themselves thrown into absurd and ludicrous situations and forced to confront a few home truths, on an enlightening mission that will reignite past memories and dig up some well-buried secrets.
Unearthed is showing at Trowbridge Arts on 7th May, Pound Arts Corsham on 8th May, Victoria Hall Radstock on Saturday 9th May and at the Rondo Theatre Bath on Saturday 23rd May. Tickets can be purchased through Bath Box Office on 01225 463362 or online at www.bathboxoffice.org.uk.
