Bristol-based writer and performer Verity Standen visits Bath next month with Mmm Hmmm, a unique show highlighting the wonder of the human voice.
With intricate vocal techniques and rich harmony, Mmm Hmmm is a playful, poignant musical journey through snapshots of everyday life. One moment a fragile apology, the next a perilous trip to the First Great Western Buffet car … Using three exceptional female voices jumping between sound worlds and lyrical styles, Verity’s original a cappella songs evoke the awkward, heartrending and hilarious moments that characterize what it means to be human.
“Something brand new and utterly thrilling” Broadway Baby

“A startlingly original and mesmeric world which, once entered, is not easily forgotten” The Public Reviews
