The Jenova Collective are a production/DJ duo and a 7 piece live Electro Swing act.
Causing a scene amongst the UK’s hottest underground clubs and festivals, their ‘no holds barred, take no prisoners’ attitude has been relentlessly smothered over unsuspecting audiences all across Europe. Not afraid to go off the rails with tune selection you can guarantee these reprobates will hunt down and deliver dance-floor fillers and swung-out bombs for an all-out infectiously pumping set that’ll have the whole discotheque bouncing.
The Jenova Collective have spent the last 2 years staring through the looking glass in search of their sound, dropping an extensive list of free downloads and remixes along the way. Never pinning themselves to one genre, previous tracks have taken influence from house, drum & bass and glitch hop whilst still keeping their signature vintage sound along with a healthy serving of block-rocking bass and relentless energy.
Fresh off the back of their debut release on Ragtime Records, Champagne Machine, continued support from top dogs in the game prove these guys are ones to watch for the future!
‘Eight beats in and we were swingin’. The best swing band I’ve heard in years, swing out, oh yeah!’
Hailing from Bristol and the South West, The Paper Moon Band is a swinging, vintage-inspired ensemble bursting with energetic swing, effortless repartee and classic tunes from the swing ear and beyond. Fans of vibrant dance floors, the band was created with Lindy Hop and swing dancers in mind, whilst offering rhythms that would convince even the most determined of non-dancers to shake a toe or two… possibly even a leg.
‘There’s no ‘only’ about The Paper Moon Band and nothing ‘make-believe’ about their sound. Here is a band that gets the dance floor jumping and really enjoys playing those classic swingin’ tunes. Once you’ve heard them, you’ll never get ‘Over’ the Moon’.
‘When singer Lucy Moon claims ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing if You Ain’t Got That Swing’ she’s not joking. Her sizzling quintet might all be seasoned jazzers, but the Paper Moon Band’s eyes are firmly on the dance floor and if you aren’t on it Lindy Hopping yourself into exhaustion they will be seriously disappointed. They’ve picked some of the best loved swing classics from the 20s to the 50s and they play them like its yesterday once more. Face it – you have no excuses.’
Tony Benjamin – Music Journalist (Venue)
This vintage dance troupe will swing your socks off! With great moves and high energy this act specialises in dance moves and crazes from the bygone swing era. Must Dash bring an enthusiastic contemporary stance on the 1920’s and high kick it up to date with their own Electro swinging twist.
“Must Dash exude raw energy as they explode onto the stage and bring the venue alive with their hot foot work and vibrant dance routines”
Sarah Middleton, Rolling Stage
★ DJ Nick Hollywood ★
Combining the finest swing samples remixed for the 21st century with black and white silent movie clips from the 1920s and 30s, Nick Hollywood’s WHITE MINK DVJ Show has been taking the festivals by storm this year. With numerous performances across Glastonbury, Big Chill, Bestival and more, huge critical acclaim, a top ten UK download album and a host of nightclub imitators popping up right across Europe including his own Electro Swing club in London and White Mink in Brighton, Nick Hollywood has been the driving force behind the coolest new music scene to explode into the mainstream for some time.
Nick Hollywood also runs the record label and publisher Freshly Squeezed Music. He compiled the eponymous “landmark album” (Mixmag) White Mink : Black Cotton and was behind London’s seminal Club Montepulciano night which was even described by Time Out magazine in 2004 as “one of the things you have to do before you can call yourself a real Londoner”.
Pioneering both the proto-burlesque and alternative cabaret scenes, as well as coming to define lounge music with a series of massively influential compilation albums, Nick has been at the forefront of club culture’s twisted takes on all things vintage for over 15 years.
★ Department of Brilliant ★

Home to the Big Swing Soundsystem, purveyors of fine Vintage and Vintage Remix.
Electro-Swing, Neo-Ragtime, Chap-hop, Electro-Blues, Gypsy Remix + more!
Kaptin and Matt The Hat first started spinning vintage classics, rehashes + remixes back in 2005 under the name The Chaps until life sent them in different directions. Matt became the proprietor of an Inflatable Church and headed off around the festival circuit, whilst Kaptin discovered Glitch-Hop and all manner of new Electronic genres, and with his Chrome Kids crew set about providing mixes for the likes of BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1Xtra, and well received DJ sets at festivals such as Glastonbury and Bestival.
Some time later, the legendary Chris Tofu introduced them to Electro Swing, and on finding their common love for the new genre, they dusted off their cravats and tweed jackets and under their new Big Swing Soundsystem moniker, set off into the wider world together again to unleash their selections of Swing, Nu-Swing, Electro Swing, Swing hop, Chap-Hop and other such treasures onto the unsuspecting public at large.
They have since been found at events such as Electro Swing Club, White Mink, Hot Club de Swing and Speakeasy, as well as Glastonbury, Bestival, BoomTown Fair, Clockenflap and Festival Number 6, so keep an eye out for when they hit a town or festival near you.
